Mitsubishi Electric has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of a range of 7” compact displays, designed to work in rugged extreme environments.
The displays feature an extra thin design (8.9mm) and wide operating temperature, eliminating any affects in performance from heat or frost. With a brightness of 1000 cd/m² and a contrast of 1000.1 the displays achieve good clear readability, even in high levels of ambient light. An anti-reflective surface prevents reflections. The LED backlight specified with 100,000 hours is set to last a time span over 11 years. The rugged displays are capable of resisting vibrations up to 6.8 G.

PCAP Touch
The Mitsubishi Electric displays are available with an integrated PCAP touch screen. This allows the user control with up to ten fingers simultaneously.
Optical Bonding
To further enhance the protection of the display optical bonding can be added. By filling the air gaps between the individual components reduces the reflection of light on surfaces, achieving improved readability of displayed content. Optical bonding also has the benefit of eliminating any contamination from dirt and reducing the damage from any potential damage that could occur.
Availability
The Mitsubishi Electric AA070TA01 and AA070TA11 7” TFT compact displays will be available in the first quarter of 2019, alongside the AA070TA01ADA11 and AA070TA11ADA11 integrated PCAP touch screen versions.
