Display Technology introduces the new Ortustech COM70H7M24ULC: a transflective 7” tft display. The 7” transflective display has been designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, whilst still delivering perfectly clear content. The compact tft display utilises the New-Blanview technology, ensuring very low power consumption and high quality readability of content even without a backlight when placed in direct sunlight.
The compact tft display with WVGA resolution (800x480) features a brightness of 400cd/m² and is equipped with a long life LED backlight with a lifetime of 100,000 hours. This corresponds to a period of more than 11 years of continuous operation until reaching half the brightness.
The COM70H7M24ULC is ideal for mobile and outdoor applications, where it will withstand a range of climate conditions with an operating temperature of -30 to + 85°C. Ortustech has also designed the rugged display for vibrations up to 6.8G, making it idyllic for applications used in industrial, agricultural and construction areas.
Optical Bonding
Additionally we can bond a touch screen and/or cover glass on the display using our Vacubond optical bonding process. A cover glass will protect the display surface from scratches and prevent any dirt contamination, whilst also making it easier to clean. A further benefit is the optical gel used in the bonding process will stabilise the unit, helping to absorb shock from any impact caused and increase robustness.
