Touch requirements are more important than ever, and we have seen an increase in demand over the last 5 years. In fact, the number of touch screen displays shipped globally is expected to have doubled by the end of this year in comparison to 2012.

To meet this demand at the Data Display Group we have developed a few touch screens to go with Ampire’s high resolution 7” TFT displays. The touch screens available are robust resistive 4-wire touch, and PCAP multi-touch versions with up to 10 touch points. Ideal for all applications, the PCAP is available with black printing on the cover and I²C or USB interface. Inner tape bonds the touch screen and display frame to remove dust contamination, and double sided adhesive tape makes them easy to install.

Three Ampire TFT displays are compatible, all with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, a wide viewing angle and brightness levels of 500, 1000 and 1500cd/m². These displays are suitable for all levels of lighting and we can supply as a kit with our PrismaECO-IV controller. We also give it a protective glass layer, giving protection against dirt and scratches.

Using a protective glass of your choice, we can also meet custom requirements of print and colour by laminating pure touch foil.
