Mitsubishi’s latest 10.4" TFT LCD display, the AA104XL02 is a transflective display ideal for bright environments or in direct sunlight. With an integrated backlight, this display provides a high quality image in poor lighting conditions.
Transmissive TFT displays can only be used with a backlight, whereas a transflective display has a partial transmissive reflector in front of the backlight. This means that any ambient light will be reflected and used to illuminate the display. As a result, the power consumption reduces dramatically to the minimum possible consumption.

If you are looking for a solution inclusive of a touch screen or protective glass, we would recommend optical bonding for this display. Optical bonding maintains the optical properties of the display and avoids reflections, whilst also improving the robustness of the display.
