Protect your displays from vandalism using VacuBond

Displays which have been optically bonded using our VacuBond method are proven to significantly reduce the risk of glass breakage when vandalised.

A customer of our US subsidiary Apollo had their optically bonded TFT display vandalised and it was subject to extremely severe impact. Although the display frame was bent as a result of this and the bonding was de-laminated, the glass remained unchipped!

Our VacuBond optical bonding process uses an OptαGel to connect the TFT to a protective glass, closing any air gap. There are many advantages to the optical bonding process including:

  • Improved readability as light refraction is reduced
  • Increases resistance to vibrations/shock
  • Zero contamination of dust/dirt
  • Improved heat dissipation

All VacuBond optical bonding takes place in a clean room environment and we can bond displays up to a size of 32”.
