Display manufacturer Ortustech’s TFT displays offering includes the COM50H5N01ULC and COM70H7M24ULC, a 5” and 7” display featuring a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The displays have been designed to work perfectly in even the most difficult ambient light conditions.

The displays utilise innovative new Blanview technology, delivering a high-contrast and true-to-colour image even in direct sunlight with or without a backlight, consuming very little power. Featuring an operating temperature of -30 to +85°C makes the TFT displays perfect for outdoor applications.

Without the IF420 the displays are controlled via an LVDS interface on a flex cable, the downfall being that a direct connection to a graphics card is difficult. The IF420 has been developed especially to overcome this issue. The IF420 is suitable for COM50H5N01ULC and the IF420-01 for COM70H7M24ULC. The gender interface boards convert the display interface to a standard LVDS and backlight interface, with an LED backlight driver on board.
